I would gear myself up even more or continue farming trial of time until i can reach 80 before attempting this tower.

Each trial becomes more difficult than the previous one. When you access the 9th floor you cannot return to the 8th floor. Repeat until you get to around level 75.

You can participate in this trial in the ancient tower. Around level 75 the trial of darkness is unlocked. The trial of time opens when done with dlc story.
